March 12, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Atang Udo Samuel as Head of the Civil Service, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Civil Service Commission.
A statement by Anthony Ogunleye, Director of Press in the office of the FCT Minister, said the appointment is aimed at strengthening the bureaucratic structure of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
Consequently, President Tinubu also approved the appointment of the Chairman and Commissioners of the FCT Civil Service Commission.
The new appointees include: Engr. Emeka Ezeh – Chairman; Hon. Ahmed Mohammed – North West; Chief Anthony Okeah – South-South; Mohammed Magaji Ibrahim – North East; Miskoom Alexander Naantuam – North Central; Hon. Jide Jimoh – South West, and Barrister Martin Azubike – South East.
The statement added that President Tinubu also approved the appointment of Permanent Secretaries in the FCT Civil Service.
The new Permanent Secretaries are: Dr Adam Babagana – North East, Wanki Adamu Ibrahim – North East, Asmau Mukhtar – North West, Dogo Aliyu Wadata Bodinga – North West, Olusa Olusegun – South West, and Adetoyi Rabiu Kolawole – South West.
Others include: Grace Adayilo – North Central, Olubunmi Olowookere – North Central, Ibe Prospect Chukwuemeka – South East, and Okonkwo Florence Nonubari – South-South.
Similarly, President Tinubu has approved the appointment of the following persons to fill existing vacancies in some critical agencies of the FCTA.
They are: Abdulkadir Zulkarfi – Coordinator, Satellite Town Development Department; Chief Felix Obuah – Coordinator, Abuja Metropolitan Management Council; and Oladiran Olufemi Akindele – Coordinator, Abuja Infrastructure Investment Council (AIIC).
While all appointees would be sworn in on Monday, March 18, 2024, the statement added that the appointments take immediate effect.
