November 21, (THEWILL) – The Philadelphia 76ers announced on Monday that centre Joel Embiid will miss at least two games due to a left mid-foot injury.
The NBA team, which is currently eighth in the Eastern Conference, also revealed that in the upcoming days, the status of the five-time NBA All-Star will be reviewed.
The Sixers were scheduled to play the Brooklyn Nets at home on Monday, with James Harden and Tyrese Maxey, already out due to right foot sprain and left foot fracture injuries respectively.
Philadelphia was also anticipating hosting an active Ben Simmons for the first time since he walked out and forced a trade from the team last season. Fans that had been expecting the showdown will be let down by Embiid’s absence.
