August 12, (THEWILL) – A Florida congressman, Greg Steube, has filed four articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden.
In the articles filed on Friday, August 11, Steube said Biden had “undermined the integrity of his office, brought disrepute on the Presidency, betrayed his trust as President, and acted in a manner subversive of the rule of law and justice at the expense of America’s citizens.
“The evidence continues to mount by the day,” Steube, a staunch Donald Trump supporter, said without providing details about the evidence he was citing.
“The Biden Crime Family has personally profited from Joe’s government positions through bribery, threats, and fraud. Joe Biden must not be allowed to continue to sit in the White House, selling out our country.”
Steube, who accused Biden of abuse of power, further alleged that his son, Hunter and brother, James Biden, sold access to the President.
“Hunter Biden threatened business partners that official actions could be taken against them if they did not meet terms or make payments. In at least one instance, Hunter implied that Joe Biden was aware of these threats and willing to assist in enforcing the threats, potentially through official actions,” Steube wrote in his articles of impeachment.
He also accused Biden of obstruction of justice, saying the President interfered with IRS investigations into activities concerning his son Hunter.
Steube accused Biden of fraud, saying James Biden had “recruited ‘investors’ for business ventures that ultimately failed,” and alleging that “there is evidence to suggest that these investment opportunities were sold to investors based on false and fraudulent pretences and promises.”
He also accused Biden of “financial involvement in drugs and prostitution,” claiming that “thousands of dollars of Biden family money was spent on illegal drug transactions and prostitution.
“Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., by such conduct, warrants impeachment and trial, and removal from office and disqualifications to hold and enjoy any office of honour, trust, or profit under the United States.”
On Friday, US Attorney General, Merrick Garland, appointed Delaware US Attorney, David Weiss, as special counsel to investigate allegations against Hunter Biden.
