March 13, (THEWILL)- Temilade Openiyi, aka Tems; David Adeleke, aka Davido, and Lekan Osifeso Jnr., aka Lojay were the Nigerian artists who won big at the 2024 NAACP Image Awards held virtually on Monday.
The NAACP Image Awards is an annual awards ceremony presented by the US-based National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) to honor outstanding performances in film, television, theatre, music, and literature.
The over 40 categories of the Image Awards are voted on by the NAACP members.
Tems won the ‘Outstanding International Song’ category for ‘Me & U’ while Davido and Lojay got on the awardees’ list for being featured on Chris Brown’s ‘Sensational’ — which won the ‘Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration (Contemporary)’ award.
